?WHO KNOWS
WHAT MEANING
LURKS
IN THE ALLEGORICAL
FICTION AND FILM ARTS
OF
MEN AND WOMEN?
THE GARDEVIL KNOWS,
UM,
?DOESN'T HE?
?WELL,
DOESN'T HE?
At any rate,
alarmed and righteously infuriated
by the troubling implications
of prior awareness of possible trouble
before the TZ disaster
on July 23, 1982,
in the twilit, allegorical and CGI enhanced
Steven Spielberg film,
MINORITY REPORT (2002),
Gary W. Wright
-the Dream Unraveller-
born in North York, Ontario
on July 4th, 1967,
making him a Jane Finch kid
and
a moody Cancer Moon Man
-the sign of the beautiful, beguiling, dreaming and soothing
White Goddess
on his shield-
raised in Delta, BC,
and now a
resignedly intrepid ‘Gray Tighwr’
Library Technician
at Streetsville Secondary School
in Mississauga, Ontario by day,
-half mockingly nicknamed
Gardevil, fan with no fear,
after Daredevil, the man with no fear,
by amused and admiring
real life superheroes
who frequented
Image Collections,
Streetsville’s finest emporium
of narrative art,
collectibles, cards and games
-immediately decided
to evade the cyberazzi
and head off to his Sanctum Sanctorum
to become
the ultimate
embittered Fantom of the Zone Wars,
ghost in the digital machine,
real life perseverant Percival
and Rogue Jedi at night,
drawing upon
his original J.D. Jedi Force
and
blockbuster Beastmaster mojo,
and,
under the inspiring
and protective mantle
of the Red, White and True,
ignore his untrustworthy vision
and instead
use his invisible
and Moon guided
intuitive sixth sense,
exuberant imagination,
years of accumululated insight,
deductive intelligence
and the insistence of memory
to decipher and triumph over
cinematic persistence of vision
and
equally elusive and allusive fiction
by patiently peering deep
into the festering,
guilt stricken
and raging depths
of the haunted and uneasy
bodies, hearts, minds and souls
of the writers and writer/directors
of the dread allegorical Zone Wars
as expressed in their twilit
fiction and film art,
in order to finally discover
the true meaning
of all of this twilit and combative
fiction and film art
and the truth about the TZ disaster
and,
with the help of exultant,
incandescent,
indomitable
and transcendent
run-on sentences
-an exultantly transcendent
word stream
that is, ironically,
beyond words
to truly describe and define-
hopefully,
cleanse
the fiction and film art universe,
bring harmony back to audiences,
film art, film artists
and
the Temple Theatre,
end the dread allegorical Zone Wars,
and free Renee Chen, Myca Le
and Vic Morrow from
the Twilight Zone…
forever.
!Forever we say!
!SKULL WAHAD!
!!!!SKAI’HALUD!!!!
By the way, if you are interested in the sort of enlightening and thought provoking books that the world’s foremost Zonebuster would ponder to inspire his own quixotic and spasmodic ‘scholarly’ efforts, here are some of the tomes that I have recently studied:
Sleep [2015]
by Nino Ricci
-an implicit allegorical roast
of David Cronenberg,
his life, film art and his recent
twilit and allegorical
indie docufiction novel
Consumed [2014]
Memoirs And Misinformation [2020]
by Jim Carrey and
Dana Vachon
- sad and funny;
shocking and reassuring;
infuriating and inspiring;
exhilarating and depressing-
in short,
a satirical must read
about Hollywood.
Of Dice And Men [2013]
by David M. Ewalt
"…With a grimace,
he realized his error.
He wouldn’t find happiness
choosing his own adventures;
he’d find it sharing adventures
with friends."
– p. 247
The Word Exchange [2014]
by Alena Graedon
- creepy and all too possible.
!'Nuck said!
The Pine Islands [2019]
by Marion Poschmann
- for the bashful Basho in all of us
Fulfillment:
winning and losing in one-click America
by Alec MacGillis [2021]
- using union, decent wage,
benefits and human hating
and
beastly blockbuster
loot lustin'
Amazon
as a springboard,
Fulfilled
ponders the slow,
inexorable and tragicomic
transformation of the world
into
the kooky cybernetic chaos
and
real life William Gibson novel
that we all struggle with today-
in short,
!Fulfilled
is the
Book of the Year!
Everything NOW:
lessons from the city-state
of Los Angeles
[2021]
by Rosecrans Baldwin
- posits that Boss Angeles is,
like,
a city-state of mind,
dude.
And how apropos
that the tome
includes a section
on
the enduring and alluring mystery
called Hollywood.
!Radical!
No One Is Too Small
To Make A Difference-
including Gardevil
[2019]
by Greta Thunberg
-shocking and sobering!
!Let us hope that the
dire global apocalpyse that
Thundberg predicts does not happen,
or we are all screwed!
!Yipe!
She Said [2019]
by Jodi Kantor
and Megan Twohey
- equally shocking and sobering!
Hollywood
is clearly broken
and needs to be fixed!
!NOW!

and
Ryan Estrada
- a moving meditation
on
the importance of allegorical art
inspired
by real events in South Korea
in the Eighties
The Hour Of The Dragon aka
Conan The Conqueror [1935]
by Robert E. Howard
- an allegorical weird tale
of swashbuckling sword and sorcery
that implicitly has
righteously furious pulp fiction writer
crush Evil high literary writer
when the implicitly Howard linked
Conan the barbarian,
popular and wise King of Aquilonia,
triumph over the implicitly
Ezra Pound linked Evil sorcerer Xaltotun,
reminding us that Pound
had become a willing propaganda puppet
for Il Duce, Benito Mussollini,
and his Italian fascists
by 1935
God Human Animal Machine [2021]
by Meghan O'Gieblyn
- a fittingly WEIRD
and thoughtful meditation
on our crazy cybernetic age
from a WIRED contributor
A Biography of the Pixel [2021]
by Alvy Ray Smith
The Daughters Of Ys [2020]
by M.T. Anderson
& Jo Rioux
- an implicit meditation
on
King James Cameron,
Queen Kathryn Bigelow
and
David Lynch
and their respective film art
hidden in a legend from Brittany,
this awesome classic
of
narrative art
will be enjoyed
and
treasured
by
!all readers!
One-Punch Man Volume 26:
unfathomable [2023]
by One
and Yusuke Murata
- the implicitly Gardevil
linked adventures of
the bald, skinny, sardonic,
eccentric and implicitly Gardevil linked
Saitama aka "One-Punch Man"
continue!
!!D'oh!!
The Last Werewolf [2011]
by Glen Duncan
Holly [2023]
by Screamin' Stephen King
- another allegorical weird tale of terror
from the amiable Mark Twain of horror
that again implicitly linked
intrepid secretary and detective
Holly Gibney
to the poor ol' Gardevil
and
had her
take on and take out
the implicitly Stan/Nikko the Monkey King and Joan Lee/Wicked Witch of the West linked
Rodney and Emily Harris
in
a hardcover novel
with a cool
glow in the dark
dustjacket
The Path To Paradise:
a Francis Ford Coppola story
by Sam Wasson
Billy Summers [2021]
by Screamin' Stephen King
- an allegorical weird tale of terror
that implictly roasted
Gary William "Billy" Wright,
born in the summer of '67,
in the form of
crack assassin and aspiring writer
William "Billy" Summers
